I also missed Soundforge from Windoze but SF Mac sucks and they only added CD burning a few months back which is WAY after the program dropped. I know CDA hadn't been updated in like forever and you could only use DX plugins (no vst's) but still it was a damned good program. I know I missed CD Architect when I moved over to a Mac full time for audio work from my Winbox/Sonar platform. ![]() I had been using Adobe Audition for wave editing and cd assemblage but it's rather clunky at the latter. Been using it for the last few cd's I've put together. DSP-Quattro - Audio Editing, CD-ROM Mastering and Plug-in Hosting for MacOS. While Merging Technologies built a DAW for the ultimate quality, its learning curve may worry some users. This provides a sample rate of up to 112,896 kHz for incredible recordings and stunning results when using hybrid workflows. There is a fully functioning demo of the program and it's quite inexpensive. For the most demanding mastering situations, Pyramix also supports the Direct Stream Digital format as high as DSD256. ![]() I don't think Hofa has been updated in ages. Does anybody have experience with this program? Does it have "dual track" timeline functionality, crossfading, etc.? Is there a better solution out there? I have Toast, but it doesn't have the features I need. I've been searching for a program like CD Architect for Mac.I searched for "Red Book" on the App Store, and the only program that comes up is "Hofa". ![]()
